Shiraz is one of the beautiful metropolis of Iran and the capital of Fars province. This city is known for its literary history and Persian garden.

Shiraz is located in the southwest of Iran and in the hillside of Zagros Mountain, with moderate climate. Several months of the year climate change from warm to hot sometimes up to 38 degrees. The best time for traveling to Shiraz is from June to September.

History of this old city and dating to around 2,000 BC. in addition this city has been capital in three historical periods and also is a gateway to Persepolis and other Achaemenid historical heritage like the Pasargadae, the first dynastic capital of the Achaemenid Empire, which founded by Cyrus the Great.

The tomb of the great Persian poems, Saadi and Hafez is in Shiraz heart, which attracts many Iranian poetry lovers’ visitors all over the world.

Due to its many historical, cultural, religious and natural attractions, Shiraz invites many tourists to their destination. Nasir ol-Mulk Mosque, Vakil Bazaar, Karim Khan Citadel (Arg-e Karim khan) , Hammam-e Vakil(bathhouse), Shiraz’s ceremonial gateway (Darvazeh-e Quran) Eram garden, tomb of shah-e Cheragh, The Shah-e Cheragh (‘King of Light’) mausoleum, Persepolis, or Takht-e Jamshid, Naqsh-e Rostam and Naqsh-e Rajab, Pasargadae, Naranjestan-e Ghavam garden and Pavilion, Nazar garden (Bagh-e Nazar) are the famous shiraz’s landmarks which most of them has been registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Marquetry (Khatam-Kari), relief carving (Monbat-Kari), metal carving (Qalam zani), kilim (flat-tapestry woven rugs) and Gabbeh (a traditional variety of carpet), pottery, are the most popular art works and handicrafts souvenirs of Shiraz.
